Treatment of children
Don't miss the right moment.
Only with early preventive care can malocclusions in children be gently and safely corrected and developmental disorders gently remedied. The right time for the first orthodontic check-up in children is between the ages of 5 and 6. This is because we can reliably detect misaligned teeth and jaw positions as well as diseases of the chewing apparatus even before the change of teeth. Damaging habits such as thumb sucking, nibbling, fingernail biting, grinding or cheek chewing can also have serious consequences for the permanent dentition. It is not uncommon for them to promote crossbite or forced bite situations, or for a narrow jaw to develop, which makes normal breathing through the nose difficult. If we determine that treatment should be carried out, it does not always have to start immediately. Thanks to regular check-ups, we can find the optimal start of treatment for your child.
If additional accompanying treatment makes sense, we involve experienced specialists such as logopedists, speech therapists, dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT doctors, physiotherapists and general practitioners.
Treatment of adolescents
With us, young teeth don't go astray.
Adolescents also benefit from our holistic therapy concept. Between the ages of ten and thirteen, we are able to efficiently correct malocclusions with relatively little effort. This is because at this time we can still use the natural body growth to support the age-appropriate development of teeth and jaws. We have known for a long time that conscientious orthodontic treatment can prevent other complaints such as poor posture, muscle and neck tension, poor concentration and headaches.
Through our empathetic approach, we can convince the young patients of the importance of the therapy. Because only if they are willing to actively participate in the treatment will the therapy goal be achieved.
Adult treatment
It's never too late for beautiful, straight teeth.
Tooth correction knows no age limit. We accompany you gently and safely to your most beautiful smile. Because perfectly aligned teeth underline your personal charisma and give you more self-confidence. Thanks to special procedures, we can achieve aesthetic tooth correction at any age. Let us advise you. After a thorough examination, we will recommend the therapy that will give you the perfect result. Of course, we take your wishes into account and make sure that the treatment fits into your everyday life. In addition to the aesthetic effect, straightened teeth not only improve the bite, but can also significantly alleviate other physical complaints. These include neck tension, back pain, migraine or dizziness. If you need prosthetic treatment with implants, crowns, bridges, dentures or other dental prostheses, prior orthodontic treatment can also be useful. In these cases, we work closely with your dentist.
Removable braces
As individual as their wearers: removable braces.
We most often treat children and adolescents with loose braces. This allows us to gently and safely correct individual malocclusions. For example, when teeth are slanted, tooth misalignments need to be prevented or the position of the upper and lower jaws is not optimal. Removable braces are also useful when milk teeth are lost prematurely, because they keep the resulting gap open until the following teeth break through at this place. Because they are easy to use and can be removed without difficulty when eating and brushing, loose braces are accepted by children and adolescents without much discussion.
Fixed braces
Gently and effectively into the right position.
When teeth need to be brought into the correct position, fixed braces are the most effective. It enables gentle tooth correction through slow distribution of forces. Treatment with fixed braces has more than proven itself and delivers top results even with pronounced crowding. In most cases, we avoid tooth extractions, frequent check-ups or additional orthodontic appliances. However, we usually recommend them only when the permanent teeth are there.
With fixed braces, small metal or ceramic plates, called brackets, are attached to the surfaces of the teeth with a special adhesive. Each bracket has a fine slot through which an equally fine wire (treatment archwire) runs, connecting the individual brackets together. The treatment arch wire allows us to adjust how the teeth should move into their predetermined position. We use self-ligating brackets. Not only are they smaller, but they have a simpler locking mechanism. This means less force is lost through friction. The pressure for straightening the teeth is slightly less and therefore more comfortable for the patient. Another advantage: the roots of the teeth and the jawbone are even more protected.
Invisalign® aligners (aligner therapy)
Your confident smile starts here.
We can gently correct tooth misalignments with the help of a series of individually made aligners. As specialist in orthodontics we use the proven Invisalign® system. The aligners are very comfortable to wear, are barely visible due to their transparency and can be removed for eating and oral hygiene. Getting the smile you live shouldn’t be awkward. Invisalign® clear aligners fit your life, not interrupt it. Ready to transform your smile?
Lingual technique "IncognitoTM "
The dental correction that sits behind the teeth.
Laughing in a relaxed manner again and enjoy showing off beautiful teeth. As an orthodontic competence centre in Munich, we know contemporary solutions that are discreet yet efficient and achieve excellent results. One proven procedure is the lingual technique. This is a fixed lingual internal brace that can be used to correct various tooth misalignments. In our practice, we use the IncognitoTM and WIN system. We are certified users of both systems.
Long-term stabilisation
Keep your brand-new smile beautiful.
We recommend to stabilize the desired treatment result to keep the smile you love. This is because teeth tend to move back to their original position. Don't worry. We ensure the success of the treatment with the help of a so-called fixed lingual retainer. This is a fine wire that is attached to the inside of the front teeth so that it is not visible. In parallel, we recommend wearing removable splints or braces at night.
Sports mouthguard
Here we go: our individual sports mouthguard.
For most of us, it is completely normal to protect ourselves during sports: the head with a helmet, the knees with knee pads. But mouth and teeth? As responsible orthodontists, we advise you to always think about a sports mouthguard as well. Because when something happens, teeth, gums, tongue, jaw joints or jaw bones are often affected. It is so easy to protect this particularly sensitive area with a sports mouthguard. We make them individually for you or your child. And we do it in such a way that it is easy to use, offers maximum wearing comfort and does not have to be removed for drinking or eating. A sports mouthguard is also indispensable for anyone who wears fixed braces to protect the sensitive mucous membranes of the lips and cheeks from injury in the event of an incident.
Snoring therapy
Snoring as a stress factor! We bring you back to peaceful sleep.
Are you one of those who snore at night? Then we are the right people to talk to. With detailed diagnostics, we can determine which form of snoring you have and then initiate a specific therapy. We have had very good experiences with the TAP® splint system. This is a custom-made splint that only needs to be worn at night. It applies gentle pressure to ensure that the upper and lower jaws are in the correct position. This enlarges the airway in the throat and keeps it open. You sleep peacefully and you wake up refreshed in the morning.
Digital impression
Never different again: This is how impressions work today.
We have equipped our orthodontic practice with innovative technologies to make treatments as relaxed and comfortable as possible. For impressions of the dental situation, we use an intraoral camera that scans the oral cavity without contact and with the highest precision. The recorded data is digitised. On the basis of this, we produce splints, braces and other orthodontic appliances so that they fit perfectly, offer you a high level of wearing comfort and ensure an optimal course of treatment.
Digital X-ray
The perfect view with digital technology.
Making a reliable diagnosis is a prerequisite so that we can create the optimal treatment concept. To do this, we use our digital X-ray unit, which is particularly low in radiation. The images produced with it are characterised by their high resolution, making even the tiniest structures visible. As experienced orthodontists, we can reliably assess these digital images in order to then initiate the right treatment and therapy steps.
